The Literary Revolutionary Presents…

BLACK YOUTH PUBLISH

A transformative 16-month author development program designed to empower and amplify the voices of Black Youth across the diaspora through creative writing and book publishing.

I know what you’re probably thinking…

16-months sounds like quite a commitment.

And it is.

It is intentional.

Each month of this program is curated to take participants on a true journey that fosters their intellectual and creative growth, empowers them to positively express their ideas and beliefs, and enables them to influence their generation and those to follow.

Why?

Because as Frederick Douglas once said, “it is easier to build strong children than it is to repair broken men.”

As “The Literary Revolutionary”, an unabashed activist, educator, and community organizer for over 15 years, I know firsthand just how critical it is for the generations that follow mine to be equipped with skills necessary to carry on the legacies and dreams of our ancestors.

Huey P. Newton once said, “The revolution has always been in the hands of the young. The young always inherit the revolution,” and I believe his words to be true.

Black Youth Publish is just one of my offerings and solutions for Generations Z and Alpha.

This program is my way of preparing the youth who desire to write books and share stories, to creatively and confidently express their ideas and beliefs in a healthy and meaningful way.

A way that not only has the potential to benefit them academically, but emotionally, spiritually, and financially, as well.

The goal is to equip young writers within the global Black community with the education and resources they need to become published authors and navigate the journey of authorpreneurship, while they’re still young, and have the desire, the heart, and the willingness to create.

The goal for this part of the program is for our youth to walk away knowing how to make money in the publishing field, should they desire to start a side hustle as a freelancer or start a business offering these services to other writers/authors/businesses.

Please Note: This part of the curriculum is designed for our older participants 12 and older. However, this does not exclude participants who are younger, who exhibit proficiency in writing and leadership, and a willingness to learn and apply themselves.

  • Final Project and Book Release Party

BYP Authors will end this 16-month program with the release of their collective anthology of writings and art created over the course of the program, which will serve as their "graduation" as published authors.

Additionally, young authors who decide to publish and release their own individual books or collaborative books with peers will also have the opportunity to showcase and sell their books at our culminating event in Atlanta, GA on December 30, 2025.

More details will be provided over the course of the program.

    Young Authors will:

    • Apply the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the program

    • Create a publishable pieces of work (the anthology is required for completion of the program, whereas, the individual published book is optional)

    • Showcase the final projects to family, friends, community supporters, and industry professionals

I believe that the youth have something to say, and I am here to usher in the spirit of creative expression and autonomy, so that our young people understand that there is an entourage of elders and ancestors rooting for them to begin making a significant impact on this world.

Affectionately known as “Mama Nia” or “Coach Nia” to the young people whose lives I’ve had the honor to impact and influence, I am a Black woman of many titles, whose liberation work is rooted in the edification of Black & Indigenous Youth of Color across the diaspora.

I have had the pleasure of supporting over 400+ people of color along their journeys to becoming literary artists, authors, editors and publishers, from adults to children alike. I am in the business of revolutionizing my clients personal and professional brands by adding books and other publications to their repertoire. Most importantly though, I specialize in empowering people of color to reclaim their narrative with confidence, and share their stories and lessons with ease through writing.

My ability to influence my people into believing they CAN and they ARE capable of all that they aspire to be and do is my superpower.

Ready to invest in your young person’s future?

The investment for this program is $1,777.00 and includes the cost towards publishing the collective anthology and planning for the collective book launch event. This investment can be paid in full or split up into monthly payments of $111/mo. Upon registering your child, you will be prompted to submit the first payment of $111. If you would like to pay in full, click here.

For participants who opt to self-publish an individual book project in addition to the collective anthology, additional fees will be required to support the publishing and printing process. These fees will be determined and announced once the program begins and more information has been gathered from each participant and family.
